Ohio State Director - Miesha Headen
Miesha Wilson Headen has served as the Ohio Director of Democrats for Education Reform since 2010. She oversees strategy and operations for DFER Ohio's advocacy programs. She focuses on building coalitions of various education reform groups, and works with legislators and government officials to help shape public education policies. Miesha is also currently serving as a councilwoman in the City of Richmond Heights. She chairs the Audit Committee.
Miesha spent a dozen years in the financial service sector. Mostly recently, she was the Examiner-in-Charge of the Northwest Ohio, Canada Branch, and Debt Capital Markets portfolios of a national bank. She has expertise in multi-family housing lending, regulatory compliance, middle market lending, and government finance.
