Director of Teacher Advocacy - Jocelyn Huber
Jocelyn Huber began her career in education as a Teach for America corps member. As a teacher in a rural public school, she saw firsthand the lifelong challenges that face students who are denied access to a consistently excellent education.From 2004 to 2007, Jocelyn served as the Grants Manager for The NEA (National Education Association) Foundation, where she evaluated proposals for instructional and professional development projects submitted by public school teachers throughout the country.
Prior to joining Democrats for Education Reform in November 2009, Jocelyn was a fulltime graduate student and Program Assistant in the Department of Educational Policy Studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. In addition to pursuing her own research and coursework, she assisted with a variety of faculty research and instructional projects. Jocelyn graduated from Cornell University with distinction in all subjects, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and a concentration in Women's Studies.
